Thai AirAsia to commence flights between Visakhapatnam and Bangkok from 07th December.
Thailand’s Low Cost Carrier(LCC) AirAsia to start flights between Bangkok and Visakhapatnam from Friday.
First flight from Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport will depart at 08:45 p.m. and reach Visakhapatnam Airport at 11.45 p.m. on December 7 and leave for Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok next day at 12.15 a.m. and arrive at 03:00 a.m. in the morning. The route will be served on a 180-seater Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
The flight will be available 4 times a week.
Flights between Bangkok and Visakhapatnam will be available on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Flights between Visakhapatnam and Bangkok will be available on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
Currently, Visakhapatnam is connected to Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. This new flight will open new routes via its base in Bangkok, which makes more convenient for passengers taking onward connections to many tourist destinations in Thailand like Phuket, Pataya, Chiang Mai and onward to many east asia countries like China, Japan, Korea, Philippines and many more.
The airline will be offering one-way fares at just ₹3,082.
Adding to this, Thailand Government has decided to waive off visa fee of Baht 2,000 (equivalent to ₹4,000) for Indian tourists. where tourists can stay up to 15 Days in the country, giving enough time to travel most iconic beaches and religious places in Thailand .
“Because of availability of many value packages, the demand for Thailand has always been more in India compared to other countries. The demand for travel to Thailand is increasing manifold due to excellent tourist locales as well as low air fare, accommodation and food,” an official of AirAsia told The Hindu.
Apart from that, AirAsia to conduct AirAsia Travel Fair-2018 in Visakhapatnam from 07-09 December in CMR Mall, Maddilapalem, Visakhapatnam. The airline will be offering 20% Discount on all flights from Visakhapatnam,
Currently AirAsia connects Visakhapatnam to Kuala Lumper in Malaysia and Bengaluru and Kolkata in India, along with this new flight to Bangkok in Thailand.
